Billie Coverly

Director & Trainer

Billie and Ranjeeta founded Respirational in 2020, when they noticed a shortfall in the availability of tracheostomy training in the community.

Billie is also the Lead Paediatric Respiratory Nurse Specialist at Wye Valley Trust, and is committed to improving nursing care. In her previous role as Paediatric Long Term Ventilation Nurse Specialist at King’s College Hospital, Billie was actively involved in the Paediatric Pan London Oxygen Group, and Co-Chaired the Paediatric Pan London Long Term Ventilation Group. Both groups aim to standardise practice and provide guidance for nursing care.

Billie started her career in acute respiratory at Great Ormond Street Hospital, working clinically at first, before moving to clinical education.

Billie’s passion for nursing extends beyond her day job. She has travelled to Ghana with Virtue Foundation, to teach non-invasive ventilation in remote areas, and she has also volunteered as a nurse for Dreamflight, taking children with medical conditions on a holiday of a lifetime.

Ranjeeta Devi

Director & Trainer

Ranjeeta and Billie founded Respirational in 2020, when they noticed a shortfall in the availability of tracheostomy training in the community.

Ranjeeta also works as a nurse for a special school in South London, and was recently working as a Paediatric Research Nurse with the University of Oxford.

Ranjeeta previously worked in acute respiratory in Great Ormond Street Hospital for over 10 years. She was the Lead Respiratory Nurse conducting tracheostomy and non-invasive training in the international and private patient divisions. This involved upskilling doctors, nursing teams and allied health professionals.

Ranjeeta was also selected to be a part of a medical team with the Caudwell Children charity, which works to change the lives of children with life limiting illnesses by taking them on a once in a lifetime trip, that wouldn’t be possible without a medical team. Ranjeeta was the designated lead respiratory nurse during this trip.
